The truth is: THERE IS NO QUICK FIX. Sorry folks. I'll admit that there is a lot of money to be made in marketing these quick fixes, but many of them don't work and people still end up unhealthy, unhappy, and often sick.
My solution may go against the grain of everything most healthcare professionals have been taught. I don't believe in taking pills for high cholesterol. (which is a multi-billion dollar industry, by the way.) There is a much simpler solution to many of the physical and emotional problems we face as a society. I believe that it starts with wellness from the inside-out.
Eating fresh, whole foods, as close to their natural state as possible, and eliminating processed foods from the diet will have significant improvement on a person's health, energy, complexion, and even sleep. Certain foods can help maintain optimal blood sugar levels, which is extremely important in a person with metabolic syndrome, or what is more commonly known as pre-diabetes. Limiting dairy and animal products can also eliminate many health problems, including gas and bloating, and some studies have even linked animal products to diseases like cancer. Consuming foods with only a few ingredients also decreases the workload on your body during digestion. If you can't pronounce it, you probably shouldn't eat it.
For most people, considering a raw, vegan, or even vegetarian diet is a HUGE step outside of their comfort zone.
